Terms of use

These terms apply to the Duplicate File Locator website and browser application provided by Mycelgrid. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Using the application

The tool is free to use for files you are authorized to access. You control which folder to select and what to do with the resulting evidence. The application reads selected files and generates local review reports; it does not delete, move, rename, overwrite, or edit source files.

Results and limitations

“Exact copies” means matching size and SHA-256 evidence within this tool's verification flow. It is not a claim about visual similarity, business importance, legal ownership, or whether a file is safe to remove. Files that exceed limits or cannot be read may remain unverified. No verified results does not establish that every selected file is unique.

Storage figures represent logical file bytes. They are not guaranteed physical disk savings. Files can change after scanning, and other software can depend on particular paths. Independently check important decisions and preserve the copies or backups you need.

Exports and privacy

Downloaded reports can contain filenames and paths. You are responsible for reviewing a report before sharing it. The privacy policy explains session memory and hosting requests.

Availability and warranties

The service is provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free results, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Browser support and device resources vary. Features and limits may change.

Responsibility and rights

You remain responsible for changes you make to files outside this application. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mycelgrid and its licensors retain their rights in the website and software; these terms do not transfer ownership of the software.

Contact and changes

Questions can be sent to contact@mycelgrid.com. We may update these terms; the revision date appears at the top of this page.
